RIP Tony Wilson (1950-2007)

Legendary music mogul and founder of Factory Records Tony Wilson died after a struggle with cancer. If for no other reason, Wilson should be remembered as the man who discovered Joy Division. I don't have much to contribute to his story at all. Read the wikipedia entry.

  1. Joy Division was one of my favorite bands when I was in college. To me they sounded perfectly primitive. The song "Transmission" still gets me. After Ian Curtis died, I found I absolutely loved the first couple of New Order albums... "Everything's Gone Green" and "Hurt" are still a couple of my favorites.

Too bad about Tony, may he RIP!
