Obviously, I am not a huge patron of "the arts." Well, not paintings and sculpture and whatnot. But occasionally I do like to broaden my horizons a little and look at some art. I would like to briefly point out a gallery show happening this weekend in Omaha.
The artist's name is Chris Meeks and his work will be on display June 22nd - June 24th at Paparzzzi By Appointment (4871 Northwest Radial Hwy). The show is entitled "Relish The Mess." There is an opening reception Friday night from 7 - 10 PM. For the other two days, the gallery will be open 12 - 5.
Honestly, I do not know anything about Chris Meeks, though I am sure he is a talented fellow. I am friends with the people who own Paparazzi. They have a great space there, and it should be a cool show. It will end in time for you to get to either Sarah Benck at Waiting Room or Bear Country at Sokol.
The Dark Stuff is an online music magazine and podcast that focuses primarily (though not exclusively) on independent artists that perform in Omaha, Nebraska and the Midwest.
