I guess Omaha really has made the big time. BBC Radio has just produced a two-hour show on the music scene here. The show features Bright Eyes rather prominently, but also focuses on the many other great bands that have made Omaha their home. The Faint, Cursive, and The Good Life are all featured, as well as the older bands that were around before there was a "scene" like Mousetrap and Lullaby for the Working Class. They even played Ladyfinger who just released their first demo a months ago!
You can listen to the show here. Click on the Listen to Last Week's Show Again button when you get there.
The Dark Stuff is an online music magazine and podcast that focuses primarily (though not exclusively) on independent artists that perform in Omaha, Nebraska and the Midwest.
